Do you crave… Apples, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Nectarines?  Blueberries, Raspberries or Strawberries? Or perhaps... The great taste of award winning wine?

At Charlton Orchards Farm, and Obadiah McIntyre Farm Winery, we have all that and more. We are a real working family farm.

 We are currently open 7 days a week, November and December  (Hours:  10:00am to 4:30pm, with wine tasting in our winery on Weekends 12:00pm to 4:30pm).

Visit us from the months of June through October and you can “Pick-Your-Own” farm fresh fruit.

Please call us at 508-248-7820 to order pies for Thanksgiving.  You may pick up your pies on Tuesday November 22, 10:00am-4:30pm, and on Wednesday November 23, from 9:00am-12:00pm.

 We have apple cider, many varieties of apples.  Our bakery is producing real fruit pies right through Christmas.  We still have fresh tomatoes, with potatoes and winter squash from our gardens. Our chickens continue to produce many eggs, and we have plenty of delicious pasture raised steaks and roasts, jams, relishes, and our award winning Wine.

Great News!!!!

 This past June Nathan Sr. and our cattle dog, Mick,  finish their roll as a farmer and his dog in Ronda Vincent's newest music video for her latest CD, in northern Missouri.

On a sadder note:  Bess, another cattle dog, passed away in June after being our best friend for 16 years, 14 of which were spent greeting many of you as you entered the farm.

 

This past year Strawberry picking began on  June 11, 2011 and continued only through July 1st.  Hindered by the excess size and volume of Hail that the June tornadoes created, strawberry picking was both light and short.  Summer Raspberries and early Blueberries started Saturday July 2nd.  Blueberries picking was cut short do to the hurricane as well as reduce quantities of  Raspberries. 

 

 

In August 2010, the state of Massachusetts saw a monumental change in how farm wineries market their wine.  Governor Patrick signed a bill into law that grants farm wineries, like us, the right to sell wine at farmer markets and agricultural events, such as fairs.  We will be selling our Wine this winter on Saturday's at the Wayland Farmers Market at Russell's Garden Center on Route 20.

 We'll-Scoop-It Ice Cream Stand, featuring, homemade ice cream from We-Like-It, Abington CT, is closed for the season but will open again next June 2012.  Why not get the best ice cream in New England when you stop by to pick  fresh June strawberries.

  This  year 2011, marked the 10th year of our Wine Store.  Wine Tasting is available from 12:30pm to 4:30pm every Saturday and Sunday, all year long.  We have wonderful gift ideas and many different wine gift baskets to chose from for that special occasion. 

   

 

Our Beef is available year round.  Buy one steak or buy a full quarter or half.

We are located on Route 20, in Charlton Massachusetts, just 8.5 miles east of Sturbridge Village. We are only 55 minutes from Boston and Hartford, and 45 minutes from Providence, and Springfield. Come for a few minutes or stay for the day. There is always plenty to see and do.
